Programs<\/span>\r\n                                        <h2 class=\"section-title bdevs-el-title\">Victim Crisis Assistance Ontario Program <\/h2>                                    <\/div>\r\n                    \r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d406695 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d406695\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Victim Crisis Assistance Ontario (VCAO) Program provides support for individuals affected by crime and tragic circumstance that is client-centered and culturally competent.&nbsp;<\/p><h3>Program Objectives<\/h3><p><ul><li>Provide early assistance and support, information and referrals to individuals affected by crime and tragic circumstances, both in-person or remotely<\/li><li>Reduce the likelihood of further harm by helping a client identify and address safety issues<\/li><li>Help clients identify their needs and concerns and develop strategies to address them<\/li><\/ul><\/p><h3>Services and Supports<\/h3><p><ul><li>Practical assistance&nbsp;<br><\/li><li>Needs assessment&nbsp;<\/li><li>Referrals to relevant community and government support services<\/li><li>Support to assess eligibility and apply to the Victim Quick Response Program+ (VQRP+)<\/li><li>Safety planning<\/li><li>Provision of information<\/li><li>Enhanced support<\/li><li>Community support sessions<\/li><li>Client follow-up<\/li><\/ul><\/p><h3>Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP+)<\/h3><p>VQRP+ provides support to victims of violent crime in the province of Ontario who require immediate assistance that cannot be obtained through other sources. VQRP+ aims to provide assistance to the victims in the immediate aftermath of a violent crime; lessening the impact of violent crime through immediate support services; and to increase the immediate safety of victims.
